Crafted from 100% handwoven cotton, the Fonda Pants feature delicate dark pinstripes against a soft ivory background, bringing a quiet sense of craftsmanship and natural texture to an understated design. The subtle irregularities of the handwoven fabric add depth and character to the striped surface, while the softly structured cotton offers a balance of gentle volume and relaxed drape.
Designed with a high waist and a generous wide-leg silhouette, the trousers feature a narrow bound waistband finished with a delicate front button. Founder Julie Cole has nearly two decades of experience in the field of Indian fashion design, shuttling back and forth between India for her work. Rubia and Neel’s products are manufactured in India. In the Indian language, “Rubia” means red, and “Neel” means indigo, representing the brand’s foundational colours.
In addition to colours derived from natural Indian dyes and traditional techniques like Jamdani weaving, the brand also emphasises the creation of products with the warmth of hand-craftsmanship, including hand weaving and hand stitching. The simple yet warm designs and comfortable textures provide wearers with a gentle and relaxed experience.
